Graeme thought that James would enjoy going on the Lynton
and Barnstaple Railway which is a restored steam railway with just 1 mile of
track and J did enjoy it very much. He also enjoyed the little model railway
which was also there.
We then moved onto Lynton as there was a large model railway there.
Unfortunately it was rather disappointing. The room was gloomy and dusty and
the man looking after it had zero personality so we had a quick look and then
moved on.
There is the highest and ? Water powered cliff railway in the world in
Lynton/Lynmouth which we thought about going on but the queue was long and we
were hot and tired so we decided to head back, enjoying an ice cream on the
way.
Evening meal was another delicious takeaway from Rockleigh in the village. There was a partial eclipse which we enjoyed watching on TV and through home made viewers.
